Ben Wiles has departed Huddersfield Town in a permanent move to League Two side Milton Keynes Dons for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder arrived from Rotherham in summer 2023 and has made 110 appearances for the Terriers in all competitions, claiming 12 goals and 11 assists.

The 26 year old has fallen out of favour at Accu Stadium in recent weeks, however, and has not started for Lee Grant’s side since the 3-2 defeat away to Cardiff early last month.

Wiles had been set to go out of contract at the end of this season.

He will now link back up with his former Rotherham boss, Paul Warne, with Milton Keynes currently sitting fifth in the table and just two points short of the automatic promotion places.

Grant said in a club statement: “First and foremost, I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to work with Ben and we’re thankful for his contribution and efforts this season.

“However, the club has been presented with a substantial offer for the services of a player in their final year of contract with us, so it’s a deal that makes total sense to complete.

“We wish Ben nothing but success with his new side, and hope the change proves to be a successful one for him. Having been a senior figure within our group, we look forward to making the most of the opportunities this now creates within our squad.”
