Things looked promising up front for Town early on in the season.

Josh Koroma was in particularly good form and looked like he would strike up an effective partnership with Callum Marshall.

The West Ham loanee grabbed a goal and an assist on his debut in the League Cup and got on the scoresheet again in his first league start, at home to Shrewsbury.

Koroma, meanwhile, netted four goals and an assist in the first six league games of the season. However, the forward has not scored since then, with his saved penalty against Northampton representing a turning point from which he hasn’t recovered. He’s not been helped by a back injury that kept him out for most of October and some of November.

That forced Town into a change up top, with Marshall getting a run alongside Bojan Radulovic. Early performances were promising. The pair both scored against Bristol Rovers, marking the first (and only) time this season Town have had two different strikers on the scoresheet in a league game.

Unfortunately, that was also the only league game in the past ten in which a starting centre-forward has scored for Town, with Healey and Marshall contributing from the bench over the past few games.
