1. Huddersfield Town should have been out of sight by half time

My most persistent gripe across Huddersfield Town’s pre-season friendlies was just how many great chances they created but failed to put into the back of the net. Stadium MK is where those profligate chickens came home to roost.

After Town went ahead on nine minutes through Joe Taylor’s fantastic run up the middle — capably picked out by Ryan Ledson — they really should have had the game put to bed before the interval arrived.

First, we should address the biggest controversy in the game. Taylor wellied a shot across the underside of the crossbar that looked to have crossed the line.
