Scarlett McMahon came off the bench to score twice and earn Town Women a point at home in 2-2 draw
Town Women faced their toughest test of the season against a strong Norton & Stockton side, spearheaded by a brace from Bianca Owens — but two late goals from substitute Scarlett McMahon meant that Glen Preston’s side got the draw that they deserved.
McMahon said: “I have been working on trying to get into the six-yard box, so it’s nice to get some goals out of it, help the team out, and get the point that we needed.”
The Terriers showed their resilience to the very end but their were certainly some shaky moments that Preston must address if Town are to continue their strong form at the start of the season.
