Huddersfield Town confirm two new members of coaching staff
Liam Manning has brought two experienced heads to the club with him following his appointment as head coach
Huddersfield Town have confirmed that coaches Martin Drury and James Krause have joined the club as part of Liam Manning’s coaching staff.
Manning was confirmed as Town’s new head coach on Tuesday afternoon and led training alongside his new staff.
Huddersfield-born Drury has previously worked at Bradford Park Avenue, Bradford City, Manchester United academy, and under Carlos Corberan at West Brom and Valencia. He arrives in the role of assistant coach.
Krause made his name as an analyst at Arsenal before joining Manning at Oxford United, Bristol City and Norwich City. He joins in a hybrid coach-analyst role.
Goalkeeping coach Chris Elliott has been retained from Grant’s staff having been appointed in the summer.
Town sporting director Chris Markham said in a club statement: “We’re delighted to welcome both Martin and James to the club alongside Liam today, with all three men already heavily involved in our preparations for Saturday afternoon and beyond.
“Martin and James arrive at Canalside with exceptional experience and references from those they’ve worked alongside previously, and alongside Liam, will help us deliver the coaching and information to the players required to secure the type of results and performances we all want to see.
“Alongside discussions with Liam, I also spoke in detail with both Martin and James about the club, their roles here and our collective goals moving forward, and have full belief in their ability to make telling contributions both on and off the pitch.”
