Huddersfield Town digest: Lasse Sorensen injury boost and Sorba Thomas' future
The latest Huddersfield Town team news and more ahead of the trip to Cambridge on Friday night
What’s been said
— Michael Duff, at his Thursday afternoon press conference, about Sorba Thomas’ future at Nantes after finding himself out of the starting line-up:
“I don't know fully the deal. I think the break clause in the contract is on their end, so we can't call him back, [but] they can send him back if they want to. There's normally weeks in the contract [where Nantes can do it]. It's not something I've thought too much about, because obviously once he went on loan, there’s no recall, so we’ll have to wait and see.
“It's not our decision, so I don't worry about it. I've got enough decisions to make without worrying about ones I'm not in control of.“
Coming up next
Cambridge United will host Friday evening’s game knowing they will spend Christmas in the relegation zone regardless of their result.
Garry Monk’s side have won just four of their 19 League One games this season, but all of those have been since their finally claimed their first win of the season in mid-October.
Cambridge have been in much better form since then, taking 16 points from their past ten games, including an impressive 2-2 draw away to Wrexham on Saturday afternoon.
Among their dangerman is Town 2017 promotion hero Elias Kachunga, who has scored in each of Cambridge’s last two games, while Dan Nlundulu and Shayne Lavery have each claimed two goals and an assist across their past two outings.
Huddersfield Town injuries and absences

Tom Lees missed the Lincoln game through illness, while Matty Pearson went off just before half time feeling unwell. Both are hoped to be available to face Cambridge.
Bojan Radulovic missed that game with a knock and is expected to be out against Cambridge too.
