Huddersfield Town digest: Predicted line-up and injury latest ahead of Barnsley trip
Another wee little round-u

You can read our rough transcript or listen along to Lee Grant’s press conference — as well as Murray Wallace’s thoughts — right here on We Are Terriers.
Coming up next
Huddersfield Town head to Barnsley for one of their several Yorkshire derbies this season, and once again come up against a side that has started the League One season well.
Conor Hourihane’s side only suffered their first league defeat of the new campaign on Saturday, when they fell to a 2-0 defeat away to newly-promoted Wimbledon.
Just like he did in his playing career, Hourihane has got his side creating plenty of high-quality chances: they are the only side apart from Wigan to record a higher expected goals than Town so far this season. The numbers would suggest have done that through having a good passing variety and trying to work the ball into the box, rather than always looking for crosses.
We’ll have five conclusions on that game for you on Sunday, courtesy of David Hartrick, who will then join me on the podcast as usual on Monday. That’s all exclusively available to our paying backers so get signed up with a seven-day free trial now, if you’re not already.
Then Town will take on Newcastle United U21s as the Vertu Trophy gets under way at Accu Stadium on Tuesday evening. Harrogate Town and Mansfield Town make up the rest of the group.
Huddersfield Town injuries and absences
Town are expected to be without Mickel Miller (hamstring) and Antony Evans (knee) until late September-October.
Predicted line-up to face Barnsley
4-2-3-1/3-4-1-2: Owen Goodman; Lynden Gooch, Jack Whatmough, Joe Low, Sean Roughan; Ryan Ledson, Herbie Kane; Marcus Harness, Ben Wiles, Ruben Roosken; Alfie May.
Substitutes: Lee Nicholls, Murray Wallace, Lasse Sorensen, David Kasumu, Leo Castledine, Cameron Ashia, Joe Taylor.
Huddersfield Town Women
Town Women will take on York City at the Stafflex Arena at Storthes Hall in Sunday’s 2pm kick-off.
York got off to a winning start to the new season with a 2-1 win over Durham Cestria but suffered a 5-0 defeat away to Doncaster Belles last weekend.
Donate to Walk4Pounds
While I’ve got you, just want to ask if you have two minutes and a few quid to spare for a very good cause. I’ll be taking part in the shorter 10-mile route for Walk for Denis in September, which culminates at Accu Stadium ahead of the League One clash with Burton Albion.
Organised by Huddersfield Town, the walk is raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society and the Huddersfield Town Foundation in memory of the late, great Denis Law.
You can make a donation here - any amount gratefully received.
Even better, if you’re interested in signing up for the walk, details on how to sign up for the walk are here. Thanks!
