Season card prices frozen as safe standing announced
Huddersfield Town have confirmed that season card prices have been frozen for the 2026/27 season. The club have also introduced the option to spread the cost by paying by direct debit. Full details on how to purchase or renew a season ticket can be found on the club website.
Town have also announced that they have applied for a licence to convert the whole home section of the South Stand - and some of the away section in that stand — into safe standing areas. If that is approved approved, the club hope to have the new seating installed ahead of the new season with work set to begin ‘as soon as feasibly possible’.
The club will also rebrand the family area Terriers Together stand upper tier, as well as installing handrails in the upper tier of both that stand and the Riverside stand to improve safety and accessibility.
Coming up next
Town will take on a familiar opponent on Good Friday as Reading come to Accu Stadium in a 3pm kick-off.
The Royals climbed into the top six last weekend with a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, but have now played the most games in the top half of the table after many clubs skipped a week due to international call-ups.
Reading had a difficult start to the season and were just two points outside the relegation zone at Christmas, but a league table since then would have them third behind Lincoln and Cardiff.
Top scorer Jack Marriott has been out with a hamstring injury since February, but Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan has stepped up over the past few games, scoring a hat-trick away to Luton last month and graving a brace against Wigan.
Then it’s down to Leyton Orient, who were Town’s first opponents of the season in a 3-0 victory for the Terriers that feels a long time ago now.
Orient have had a difficult season after being defeated in last season’s play-off final (relatable) and find themselves 17th in the table.
Richie Wellens’ side were in the relegation zone a month ago but have taken a big stride away from the bottom four since then by claiming four wins and a draw from their past five league games.
We’ll have five conclusions on the game for our paying subscribers first thing on on the morning after each game, followed by further reaction on the We Are Terriers podcast, which we currently plan to release on Wednesday morning next week.

Huddersfield Town injuries and absences
Ryan Hardie missed the Plymouth game with an Achilles injury and is unfortunately likely to miss the next two or three weeks, but is hoped to be available again before the end of the season.
Lee Nicholls went off with a head injury just before half time against Plymouth but has completed the concussion protocol and is available to play against Reading.
Ryan Ledson went off with a back injury in that game but has been involved in training this week and is available for selection.
Bojan Radulovic is back available as an option too following the hamstring injury he suffered in January.
After missing Town’s last three games, Radinio Balker was in action from the bench for Suriname over the international break in their unsuccessful bid to claim a place at this summer’s World Cup. He, too, is back in contention for a place now.
Joe Low is back in individual training and closing in a return to full training following his calf injury.
