Huddersfield Town have shown their strengths — now to show no weakness
This summer has been a refreshing reminder of what these players can do, but it counts for nothing if they don't carry it into their season opener
The mood is good around Huddersfield Town at the moment. Still, it’s far more important that it remains so this time next week.
This summer’s work has been strong enough all round that Michael Duff’s first competitive teamsheet will, inevitably, feel harsh on at least two or three players. Goalkeeper and wing-back are the only roles we feel confident about when it comes to assembling our predicted line-up.
It’s hard to know whether the side Duff picked to face Sheffield United was a potential preview of his intentions for the match against Peterborough. Even so, he has a tricky task on his hands picking between long-standing Mr Reliable Tom Lees, Championship-level defender Matty Pearson, reigning player of the year, Michal Helik, and Town’s standout performer from last season, Brodie Spencer.
