Huddersfield Town player ratings as four-goal Terriers see out season in style at Wimbledon
Lasse Sorensen opened the scoring before a first senior goal for George Sebine and an Alfie May brace gave Town a stylish and comprehensive victory in south-west London
Nik Tzanev - 7
Didn’t have a save to make in the first half on his return to his long-time former club. Fantastic save to stop Leyton Stewart’s strike ten minutes after the break at 1-0, which turned out to be a real turning point as Town went up the other end and scored from the resulting corner.
Lasse Sorensen - 8
Wimbledon just didn’t know who was meant to pick him up with Town lining up in a 4-2-3-1, and he was happy to exploit that. Absolutely brilliant run that earned him his well-taken goal. Went close with a header in the opening minutes and getting into a good position to head wide midway through the first half.
Radinio Balker - 7
Particularly notable for a late header he won superbly to help protect the clean sheet.
Murray Wallace - 7
Dependable, like a big oak tree. Are they noted for being dependable? We don’t know. It’s the last day of the season, give us a break.
Sean Roughan - 7
Started as the left-back in a back four. Lovely cross for Sorensen in the first few minutes. Yep decent too.

Ryan Ledson - 7
Great vision and execution to spot Sorensen’s run up the middle and pick him out wit a perfectly-weighted pass. Put a presentable chance some way over the bar late in the first half off Alfie May’s cutback. Absolute slide-rule pass in behind the Wimbledon defence for May’s second goal.
Marcus McGuane - 6
Started well and sprayed some nice passes out to the flanks. Showed signs of rustiness as the game went on — understandably, after the season he’s had — and went off injured just after the hour. Hopefully he gets a good summer under his belt now.
Marcus Harness - 7
Held up the ball well and got play moving by coming in from the right flank.
Cameron Humphreys - 9
Played at number 10, though you would have thought he was an extra 9 at times. Worked like it was the FA Cup final and got his reward for that in the form of an assist for Alfie May’s goal after a gut-busting run to join the counter-attack from a Wimbledon corner. Stopped what looked like a nailed-on Wimbledon goal by sprinting back from the halfway line to win a tackle on the edge of his box. Will be a shame to see him go if this is, as expected, his last game for the club with his loan coming to an end.
Will Alves - 7
Played on the left wing. Hit the post just a few minutes into the game. Put in a few decent crosses too.
Alfie May - 8
Played his part in the build-up to the goal he finished off on the counter-attack by sending Humphreys away up the left — his first goal since January. Got an assist to boot by sending George Sebine into the box for 3-0, then dinked the keeper after racing in behind to receive Ledson’s pass as Town went four up. That’s more like it.
