Huddersfield Town sporting director job has more to it than transfers

It's a huge part of the role, but could the Terriers' new hire help them address the injury problems that piled up this season?

Huddersfield Town’s next sporting director will have a few obvious items on their to-do list once they arrive at the club.

Finding a new head coach, in all likelihood, will be the first. Signing the new players Town need to recruit for the new season is another huge, ongoing task for the whole summer. So too is finding new homes for any players the club wish to move on.

But it will also be the sporting director’s responsibility to help Town address one of the most glaring and maligned issues that afflicted them last season: their huge injury list.
