Huddersfield Town Women player ratings from day to forget in Doncaster
Glen Preston's side were beaten 4-0 by relegated Doncaster Rovers Belles
Kacey Bolton-Woollam - 5
Couldn’t do anything about Laila Abadi’s cracking strike that clipped the the crossbar before finding the net. Helplessly stood and watched the ball be deflected past her for the second. Had to watch the ball loop over her on its way to going in for the third.
Rebecca Beresford - 5
Unable to get forward as Donny were doubling up down Town’s right. Got stuck in but the ball just wouldn’t drop for her.
Autumn Housley - 6
Kept her standards high, despite Town’s slow start. Won the ball plenty of times in the middle of the pitch, transitioning Town from defence to attack.
Beth Stanfield - 5
Lost the ball in the middle of the pitch, leading to Donny’s opening goal. Unlucky to deflect the ball into her own net for the second. Attempted to get Town playing forward but the pitch wasn’t suitable for any stylish football.
Yasmin Mason - 5
Started sluggish, losing the ball with her first four touches. Improved as the game went on, coinciding with her pushing further forward.
Caz Simone - 5
Had a couple of efforts from the edge of the box that weren’t too far away. Looked frustrated at points, but kept their communication levels high throughout.
Ella Duffield - 5
Relentless with her work in midfield but struggled dealing with Donny’s high energy and narrow midfield.
Molly Firth - 5
Had a shot towards the bottom left corner but her strike was well matched by a strong save from Donny’s Ellie Sharpe.
Katie Astle - 5
Struggled to find any space in the number 10 role - every time she received the ball she was crowded out by the Donny midfielders.
Ashley Tiripke - 5
Should have scored Town’s equaliser but hit the ball high over the bar from close range. Floated along the Town front line, contributing where possible, but not really too involved. Taken off just before the hour mark.
Scarlett McMahon- 5
Left isolated up front. Her first touch was usually pretty tidy, but she lacked support around her. Could have had a shot in the first half but opted to pass instead - perhaps should have been more confident.
