Huddersfield Town Women player ratings after 6-1 victory over Fylde
Glen Preston’s side continued their winning streak with a dominant performance against bottom-of-the-league Fylde
Kacey Bolton-Woollam - 6
Had a moment to forget when the ball slipped away from her to allow Fylde a consolation goal. Couldn’t really complain because Town were five goals up at the point.
Autumn Housley - 7
Didn’t put a foot wrong in any of her challenges. Won the ball back on many occasions and got Town moving in the right direction.
Serena Fletcher - 6
Had a couple of nervy moments on the ball but recovered well.
Beth Ibbotson - 7
Expertly coordinated play through the centre of the pitch. When will the opposition learn not to let her carry the ball? Even if they do, I’m not sure they would be able to stop it.
Rebecca Beresford - 7
Showed composure when she took the ball around the goalkeeper and squared it to Mason for the first goal. She could have rushed to take a shot but made the selfless decision, which paid off.
Ella Duffield - 6
A quiet day in midfield, but provided necessary structure through the spine of the team.
Beth Stanfield - 8
Broke down play again and again, and scored with a thunderous effort from outside the box. She is setting higher standards each week and leading by example.
Charlotte Stuart - 7
Reached double figures in this season’s goal column, nodding in a header from six yards.
Leah Embley - 8
Found the back of the net from a Firth assist. Also got two assists of her own, with a cross-field ball to find Stanfield, and a ball into the box for McMahon.
Yasmin Mason - 8
Returned to the starting line-up and took full advantage of the opportunity. Bagged a quick-fire brace. The first came from a nice move in the box to connect with Beresford’s low cross. The second was a bullet header into the net from a Mallin corner.
Kate Mallin - 8
Set the record for having the most appearances in Huddersfield Town’s history — 575. Celebrated with a classic set-piece assist, whipping in a corner to match Mason’s run. Got another assist when she lofted a ball in from the right to find Stuart. Eight assists now this season.
