All you need to know about the the 22 year old, who has arrived at Accu Stadium on a permanent deal
Huddersfield Town have announced the permanent signing of Brentford midfielder Ethan Brierley on a three-year contract.
The 22 year old spent last season as a first-team regular at then-divisional rivals Exeter City.
Town sporting director Chris Markham said in a club statement: “I’m happy to welcome Ethan to Huddersfield Town.
“He is the type of player that we’re always looking for; a young, hungry footballer who is desperate to improve, but one who already has an impressive track record and has shown he can cope with the frequency of games at this level. Town fans have seen players just like him go on to be a real success here over the years.
“I believe Ethan can help us now and will continue to improve as we go. He’s an extremely impressive, intelligent individual with a thirst to improve; exactly the kind of player that should thrive under Martin’s leadership and skills in player development.”
Head coach Martin Drury added: “Ethan is a player I’ve admired for a while. He will bring us enthusiasm, energy, and quality, to add to the other midfield players we have.
“Again, on meeting him it was clear that he has the mentality and drive to keep developing, which is what our working environment will be driven by day-by-day.
“Myself and the staff are excited to work with Ethan and over time I believe he can become a real asset to the football club.”
