Town Women committed and confident away from home
The Terriers were persistent with their attacking game plan and got what they deserved, beating Durham Cestria 3-2
Town Women set up in a 4-3-3, a formation that became more successful for them as the game went on. Two goals from crosses and a successful penalty secured Town a much-deserved three points and their first win since travelling to York City on 15th September.
Goalscorer Leah Embley said: “I am buzzing to get my first goals in the league. I think it has been coming but the performance from the girls and how we dug in at the end was absolutely massive.
“We got on top in the second half and the goals came.
“We definitely deserved to win so I am buzzing for everyone.
“Going into next week it is just about continuing. We have loads of confidence now we have got a win. Going into Barnsley, who we have already played this season, hopefully we have another successful weekend.”
